Show Schedule for 2008 :
Savannah Irish Festival, Savannah, GA, February …. This year’s festival was a good one. It is not a huge festival but very quaint. The Irish have a strong community in and around Savannah and take a lot of pride in their heritage. I hope to return to next year’s. oo3
North Texas Irish Festival, Dallas, TX, … The North Texas Irish Festival, again, was a blockbuster event. This year being their 26th year and they set an all time attendance record, edging out last year’s 25th anniversary record. This was the first year I was an indoor vendor and boy was I busy running from one end of my booth to the other. What a great time and fantastic event! You’ll see me there next year, please God. ooooooo0
Celtic Heritage Festival, Midland, TX, … This was my second year as a particiapnt at the Celtic Heritage Festival of the Permian Basin. It gets bigger and better every year. They too set a new attendance record. I have to say, the people at the festival were the friendliest crowd going. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and Red McWilliams was great as always too… and THOR the world’s largest war horse. OMG! Thor stands 7′ tall at his back and is huge! oooooo0
Iron Thistle Celtic Festival and Highland Games, Yukon, OK, March 28-29… The Iron Thistle Festival was a small (but growing) one day event which took place this past Saturday… but it was a fun one. The venue, Kilpatrick Park, was beautiful and the perfect setting for this event. Every single person that attended was very friendly and cheerful and seemed to really enjoy themselves. John and the rest put on a great festival. On the drive home I was already thinking about how much fun it will be to see the folks of Yukon again next year. I can’t wait. oo3
Missouri Tartan Day, St. Charles, MO, April 4-6… The “squishy” Missouri Tartan Day Festival was a pleasant surprise. This being our first year as a vendor proved to be very fun and worthwhile. Frontier Park is a beautiful park right next to the Missouri River, on the edge of “historic” St. Charles, MO. What a cool place. We had great weather both Sat and Sun but the ground was very muddy around our booth. Thanks to everyone that tip toed for a look at our Celtic Treasures. There were lots of Kilts and lots of Scottish spirit (due in part by the fabulous Scottish spirits). Below, check out our new tent. It’s about time. “Hey! St. Charles Scots! We’ll see ya next year!”oooo3

Southern Illinois Irish Festival, Carbondale, IL, April 25-27… We lucked out with the weather this year… yippie! With wind gusts upwards of very very windy during setup on Friday, it was looking kind of iffy but Saturday and Sunday proved to be fabulous. A few of the other vendors and myself went to Applebee’s Saturday evening for dinner and a few adult beverages. It was so fun! Can’t wait until next year.
Th Gatherin, Wakeeney, KS, May 2-3…I missed it! Darn it! The weather forcast scared me away with the call for wind of 35mph and gusts up to 50mph. My poor tent was shaking when I told her we might give it a go. In the end we stayed home and did yard work.
Houston Scottish Highland Games & Celtic Festival, Houston, TX, May 17-18… Ros Shepherd and her crew did it again… not only did they organize a great Scottish Highland Games weekend but they ordered in the perfect weather. It was a true delight to participate as a vendor again this year after missing last year. For lunch on Sunday, I had a cheese burger made from the beef of a Scottish Highland Cow… how fitting and really tastie. The people were great, the sales were brisk, the weather was perfect, the music was fun and I can’t wait until next year.

Hi there Bridal Bracelets… I’m not sure what “in your face” means. I may be a bit slow. If you are not sure you agree with this, I’m not sure I agree or disagree but I do like to share and please do visit my site as often as you like. It would never hurt my feelings if you bought something either….lol. Good luck and all the best. If you Know anybody in uniform serving overseas, check out our US Celtic Soldier page on in this site.
